Homesick

I have never been one to get homesick, whether in third grade when I spent a week at camp, or the seven months I spent living in the dorms during my first year of university. I remember seeing people around me longing for the familiarity of where they came from, while I was unaffected by the time away.

However this year, that changed.

Once freeing transit system

During Christmas break, I returned to where I am from for the first time in a year and a half. I met with some once close friends whom I have not seen since I left, and I was blessed to see a close family member just two weeks before she passed. When I returned, for the first time since I left, I realized what I walked away from.
